This group of students at Bayer CropScience have spent their summer on a top project!
As Summer Associates at the Olds Research Farm facility in Olds, Alberta, they’ve been exploring how to develop more effective herbicides to support agricultural operations.
It’s an inspiring and exciting opportunity.
“Bayer CropScience is making a difference in research in plant sciences and herbicides, and that’s really important to farmers worldwide,” says Crislana Rafael, a science student at Simon Fraser University.
“It’s a really great thing to be a part of.”
They’re thrilled with the experience they’ve had this summer, and couldn’t wait to share what they’ve learned.
“The highlight of this project and this entire summer has been being able to go home and talk to my dad, who is a farmer, and really relate and share stories about our day-to-day work,” says Miranda, a University of Alberta graduate and current student at Olds College.
“It feels good to be part of the family business.”
